AcelleMail is a self-hosted, open-source email-marketing platform built by **Basic-Technology** and sold on CodeCanyon (item id 17796082) since **2016**. Across 10 years on the marketplace the product has accumulated **6,690+ verified sales, 4.76★ across 568 reviews**, and is now on **v4.2.0 LTS** (released April 14, 2026).

## Mission

Give every business — from a one-person Substack to a multi-tenant SaaS — full ownership of its email-marketing stack: the data, the code, the deliverability decisions, the cost curve.

## Why self-hosted

Email marketing data is among the most sensitive operational data a company holds: customer email addresses, behavioral history, purchase signals. Handing that to a SaaS vendor on recurring billing exposes the business to (a) a tier-driven cost curve, (b) vendor lock-in, (c) a single point of failure outside your control. AcelleMail flips all three: pay once, own the source, host where you trust.

## Product principles

1. **Lifetime updates.** Customers who bought in 2016 still get every release.
2. **Unlimited contacts + sends.** Pricing is per-product, not per-volume.
3. **No telemetry.** The application does not phone home.
4. **Source ships.** Full PHP/Laravel codebase. Modify, white-label, redeploy without permission.
5. **Standards over lock-in.** SPF / DKIM / DMARC / RFC 8058 / RFC 8288 — we publish to the spec, not a vendor extension.
